We have joined forces with MasterCard and created a contest that offers all UK golfers the opportunity to actually be a part of he world’s oldest professional golf tournament - The Open Championship. Keep score and be a scorer at The Open campaign runs until the end of the week, so if you are from the UK and playing golf this weekend, make sure to take Golf GameBook with you on the course.

All rounds recorded with GameBook before the end of the day on Sunday July 6 participate in the prize draw. And the prize is nothing less than one of the coolest experiences a golfer could dream of. The winner gets to attend The Open as an official scorer for one of the marquee groups on the first day of this year's tournament at Royal Liverpool. This means that by using GameBook to keep your own score on a round of golf you could end up going behind the ropes at The Open and keeping score for some of the world's best players.

During the contest it isn't just one, but two lucky golfers that win the grand prize of becoming an official scorer. The first winner was randomly drawn already after the first two weeks of the contest period. The other one will be drawn next Monday. And each round played with GameBook counts as one entry to the draw, so the more you play the better your chances.

Last year MasterCard invited a cardholder called Richard Helik to be an official scorer at The Open. Richard spent the day keeping score for the likes of Phil Mickelson and Rory McIlroy and described it as "one of the best experiences of his life". Click on the video screen below to hear more about Richard's feelings at last year's Open Championship.

Sam has been playing golf for 12 years and is currently playing with a handicap of 3. GameBook has been a part or his golfing experience for the past six months and he says the app is a great way of keeping records of your games. He is really excited and looking forward to being an official scorer at The Open. "I'm not quite sure what to expect", he said when he heard he had won this Priceless experience.

So, make sure to put a round of golf on your agenda for this weekend. Record your score with GameBook and that round could turn into a once in a lifetime experience as one lucky British golfer will join Sam as an official scorer at The Open later this month.
